About Coosawattee River Resort

The Coosawattee River Resort is located in Ellijay, GA in the beautiful North Georgia mountains and is comprised of four areas—Beaver Lake, Beaver Bend, Beaver Forest, and Eagle Mountain.

The original inhabitants (deer, wild turkey, fox, and racoon just to name a few) still roam the lush 8,500 acre forest. There are 6 to 7 miles of double frontage on the wide and rocky Coosawattee River and several miles frontage on Mountaintown Creek, creating an abundance of privately-owned river lots and numerous river parks.

Other amenities include the recreation center which houses the heated indoor pool, weight room, game room, tennis courts, volleyball, miniature golf, playground, and picnic area.

There are also two outdoor pools, tennis courts, numerous river parks, river tubing, a stocked pond, and convention center in other various areas of the resort.
